Bus Madness

A spot for ugly busses; just buses, bus conversions, conversion vans, rv's and so on. Extra great if they are for sale, or on the road.

Wanderlodge!

As promised, a Wanderlodge post.

Here is a good example of an older “FC” type of Wanderlodge. These are the most common used Wanderlodge, though the newer “Pusher” type is becoming more common. The FC is for forward control, meaning the motor is up front. Also the seat and steering wheel is ahead of the wheels you are steering.

Here is a picture. Click here for the flicker site. Yes, this bus is for sale.

The thing about these motorhomes is that, while dated in appearance, they were built right and last a long time. They hold good value for a reason, and that reason is quality. A simple google of Wanderlodge will find you a wealth of information about these.

My favorate detail about the version show, is the vanity in the rear bedroom.

I also like the added solar panels on this example.

These things usually have awnings on all windows, mid entry doors (as opposed to a door at the front of the bus) often built in blenders, and period accurate fixtures. What is there not to love.

So, the down side of a bus like this is the fact that they cost $17,000. Newer ones are much higher.
